Name Meanings

I like to look at name meanings a lot, especially when I do research for other people.  If there is something that means a lot to them, or a family member they want to honor, I will look up the meaning and see what names have the same meaning.  I think it’s really neat when people use names [...]

The Top 100 – Boys

Now for the boys list.

What is your favorite place name?  Examples: Austin, Sydney
What is your favorite virtue name?  Examples: Felicity, Joy

Unisex Names

So, does the name Avery scream boy or girl to you?  What about Addison?
There are a lot of names that are dominated by girls now (in the U.S.) but used to be predominately boy names. Kelly comes to mind. Others include: Ashley, Aubrey, Courtney, Jocelyn, Mallory, Shannon, and Whitney.
Nowadays, it seems as though girls [...]

The Alphabet Game

Here’s one that may take you a while to complete.  List your favorite name (boy or girl or both!) for each letter of the alphabet.  I will go ahead and list mine here (some notes on my names: most of mine are girl names, since I like more girl names than boy names; these are my [...]
